Ask The Expert: How to Gift for TV's Biggest Premieres and Events

Posted by BOXFOX TEAM on

We know we're in the middle of the dog days of summer, but we'd be remiss if we failed to call out the most exciting time of the year for many of us at BOXFOX HQ: the fall TV lineup. We can't help but gush over the season's hottest show premieres and we know there's a ton of work that goes on behind the scenes to generate that buzz because we've helped create it for many of our entertainment clients.

Some of our current projects have been kicked off by the question: "How do I generate buzz for my network with strategic outreach?" so we wanted to spend some time breaking down a few ways our clients can send a blockbuster corporate gift to help move the needle when it comes to audience engagement, media and press relations as well as marketing and events (the Emmys are only a month away!).

Read on for a quickstart guide and drop us a line at concierge@shopboxfox.com to chat with the Concierge team behind the below examples.

Press Kit:

It’s important to remind media and influencers what sets your show apart. Is it the introduction of a unique story line or character? Maybe it’s an interesting focal point or theme that runs throughout the series or season. Either way, pulling inspiration from that notable aspect of the program will help it stand out and get the press it deserves.

A #goal box for the classic show Friends (free ideas here, people!) would be a presentation centered around coffee, using the classic 90s color palette and nods to items that represent friendship.

Marketing Campaign:

We know that ultimately the success of any show is left in the hands of the viewers. Once they are invested, the rest is history! But how do you get the viewers engaged? Social Media surprise and delights are a great tool here. For a project of this nature you should look to include an eye catching product featuring the name or tag line of the show along with other items that support the overall message and tie back to the content. Not only will social engagement be a key factor, but word of mouth from the recipient will go a long way too!

Screenings and Awards Shows:

Planning and prep for awards shows and premiere nights takes a village, but your event gifting doesn't have to. Whether you're in the green room with the VIPs or you want to send a post-event thank you to all the people who made the event run successfully, a well curated, thoughtful gift goes so far. They'll get the message when you curate a premium box of relaxation or pamper essentials to toast to their success and a job well done.
