Looking for a tasty guide to the Westside? Look no further! Our office restaurateur and Westside resident, Sonika is serving up her favorites. Check out five hot spots that this certified foodie recommends for everyone and anyone looking to enjoy a savory bite, day or night.

Venice //

It comes as no surprise that Felix has made Bon Appetit’s short list for America’s best new restaurants. Chef Evan Funke of Felix is creating the most delicate pastas that will leave you wanting more with every bite. Prior to Felix, Chef Funke ran the stoves at the Santa Monica hotspot, Rustic Canyon before opening his own Bucato in Culver City.

Where: Felix Trattoria

Cuisine: Italian

What to order: Fiori di zucca (Squash Blossoms), Pappardelle.

Brentwood //

Hailing from Italy, Chef Daniele Uditi of Pizzana was discovered by actor Chris O’ Donnell when he was hired to cook for Chris and friends. While Uditi later became popularly known in Italy, it wasn’t until Uditi, Chris O’ Donnell and his wife Caroline teamed up with Candace and Charles Nelson of Sprinkles cupcakes that Pizzana Brentwood was born.

Where: Pizzana

Cuisine:  Italian

What to order: Pizza, of course! Neo Margherita, Cacio E Pepe, Amatriciana.

Santa Monica //

Nick Mathers of the infamous Eveleigh and Little Ruby, brings Santa Monica LA’s hottest new lounge and restaurant. In the heart of Santa Monica, the restaurant not only serves up delicious food, but is quickly becoming the new Bungalow with an atmosphere that is sophisticated with stunning ocean views.

Where: Élephante Beach House

Cuisine:  Italian

What to order: Prosciutto with mint and Pickled Peaches, Lobster Spaghetti

Beverly Hills //

Known for his famous restaurants in NYC such as ABC Kitchen and Cocina, comes Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges. He is serving up incredible dishes at his restaurant at the Waldorf in Beverly Hills. After eating here, there really is no surprise that he’s one of the best-known chefs in the world.

Where: Jean-Georges at the Waldorf Astoria

Cuisine: Fresh American/European

What to order: Summer Melon Salad, Roasted Organic Chicken

Century City //

You’ve probably heard everybody in the LA area talking about this hot new spot, Eataly. What makes this “restaurant” so interesting is that it’s actually a three-level, 67,000 square foot Italian Market that owner Oscar Farinetti has opened with partners Lidia Bastianich, her son Joe, and Mario Batali of Mozza. The marketplace is an opportunity for customers to sip wine and shop groceries while also tasting the food from the small vendors. There is also opportunity to eat at one of the four restaurants within the marketplace, although there are no reservations accepted. The food is good, the atmosphere is great.

Where: Eataly

Cuisine:  Italian

What to order: If you’re headed to La Pizza & La Pasta, try the Massese Pizza, Burrata Pizza, and Vesuvio con Ragu Di Maiale Pasta.
