You’ve probably heard everybody in the LA area talking about this hot new spot, Eataly. What makes this “restaurant” so interesting is that it’s actually a three-level, 67,000 square foot Italian Market that owner Oscar Farinetti has opened with partners Lidia Bastianich, her son Joe, and Mario Batali of Mozza. The marketplace is an opportunity for customers to sip wine and shop groceries while also tasting the food from the small vendors. There is also opportunity to eat at one of the four restaurants within the marketplace, although there are no reservations accepted. The food is good, the atmosphere is great.
