Hello, 2019, didn’t see ya there! With a new year, comes new beginnings: a fresh start to any goals, visions, or ideas you had that either didn’t quite make the cut last year or you’d like to continue making progress with. The New Year is here and it’s time to chase those dreams down! Setting your goals might be easy, but staying on top of your New Year’s resolutions is a whole different ball game.
This week, we’re serving up 5 simple (and easy) tips for staying on top of your New Year’s resolutions so you’ll never miss a beat. //
Write it out
The first (and possibly) most important step in the goal setting process is to write them out. Writing out your resolutions will allow you to develop a clear and concise vision on what you’d like to achieve in the New Year. These written goals will be a great platform for reference for you to stay on track!
Get Visual
Track the progress of your goals and bring them to life by getting visual! Create a vision board for yourself so you’re able to actively track your progress.
Rely on the buddy system
Friends are always there to count on! Use the buddy system and create goals with your friends so you’re able to hold each other accountable. It’s much easier to stay on top of your goals when you’ve got people to support you and cheer you on.
Plan Ahead
There’s no better way to stay on track of your goals than by planning ahead. Invest in a calendar and if it’s something like eating healthy or fitness, pick days you’re going to cook a meal at home or mornings you’ll be working out versus evenings. You’re less likely to slip up if you stick to a tried-and-true plan.
Treat Yourself
What better incentive to achieve your goals than by treating yourself? Set tiers for your goals so that when you’ve reached a certain benchmark, give yourself a reward. Whether it’s a shopping spree at the mall or a nice meal out, treat yourself when you’ve earned it!
