Last weekend we were lucky enough to collaborate with Amber Events on beautiful wedding welcome gifts for a Halloween wedding at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. A few foxes traveled to Ojai, a true California gem located just above Ventura, to explore what this quaint little destination has to offer.
Ojai is a beautiful and convenient getaway, with comfortable temperatures that can be enjoyed all-year round, unlike some of our other favorite California destinations (we're looking at you, Palm Springs).
To provide the wedding guests with a guide for what to explore, we decided to immerse ourselves in everything Ojai has to offer. Here are some of the highlights of our own trip that you should explore with your own loved ones.
First we tried Knead Bakery, a small cafe with an assortments of delicious breads and bagels that make for a quick and flavorful breakfast. Their granola parfait was particularly enjoyable, with hints of cinnamon and other fall flavors that complimented the seasonal fruits and berries (apricots, blackberries, strawberries etc.) Their quiche was also a simple but appetizing blend of spinach, caramelized onions and creamy cheeses baked on a buttery crust.
Next we soaked in the sights of Ojai Valley when we traveled to Meditation Mount. This quiet enclave showed all of Ojai Valley, with a colorful array of plants and flowers that were equally breathtaking. We could've stayed here and enjoyed a great book all day.
Then we traveled to a very unique outdoor bookstore that you may recognize from the film, Easy A. Bart's Books was another spot we could've stayed in all day, with plentiful outdoor seating and a quirky collection of used books that included antique collectables and literary classics.
We wish we could've had more time to spend at this amazing destination, but trust us when we say we will be saying hi to Ojai again very soon.
