In lieu of the upcoming three-day Federal Holiday, we've asked a few of our fellow foxes to reflect on their favorite 3-day weekend getaways! Read along to see what Grace, Vivian, and Rachel had to say about their most memorable holidays and what they usually bring with them on their travels. Help us help you get inspired for your upcoming time off (we smell a vacation)!
GRACE //
Back in college, a 3-day weekend AUTOMATICALLY meant a bender in Vegas. Now, thank goodness, these years are behind me and I can choose much more relaxing and liver-preserving activities for myself. My past favorite 3-day weekends have been relaxing in Palm Springs or Tahoe, but for this upcoming MLK weekend I'm going back home to NorCal! I love spending weekends with my parents - we usually go to Napa for the day and visit all our favorite wineries and restaurants. Getting away from your normal scene and taking time to unwind is so essential to being happy and productive when you get back to the grind!
My favorite travel products are of course my Grace BKR water bottle (I think this color was actually made for me and my blue aesthetic!). It's small enough to fit in a purse and you can easily fill it up at LAX after making it through security, so no paying for a $8 SmartWater and feeling guilty about wasting plastic! I always make sure to bring home a B Toffee box or Compartes chocolate bar for my parents as a small gesture thanking them for hosting me. Even though they're family, a little thank you goes a long way towards setting the tone for a great weekend. Lastly, I always stash a sheet mask for the flight - it's so common now nobody even looks twice at you when you have it on your face. When I deplane, I always feel hydrated and ready to have a great weekend!

Growing up in SoCal, my favorite weekend getaway is the obvious-Palm Springs. It's convenient, relaxing and sunny, my three requirements for a long weekend away. I'm fortunate that a few of my friend's parents have homes in the desert so it doesn't hurt to have a free (well decorated) place to stay. Sometimes we go shopping, swimming, eating, and other times we do absolutely nothing. Either way it's a guaranteed good time.
It's impossible for me to head out to the Sunny weather without a cute pool float, my favorite is the Ban.do 'Sink or Swim' (I might add that this is the best way to have one of my friends capture an insta worthy 'candid' of me effortlessly floating (ha!). Year round my lips get DRY in Palm Springs and my saving grace is Herbivore's Coco Rose Lip Butter. For the days when we're doing "absolutely nothing" I love to have face masks to feel like I'm doing something (even the guys love them), plus, the price point is so good allowing me to supply the fun. Whether you need to tighten or brighten, it's better with a friend!

Hands down, my favorite 3-day weekend getaway is San Diego! You can find me in SD any opportunity I get to have a long, relaxing, weekend. Living in San Diego for college made me fall in love with the entire city, and La Jolla is hands down one of the prettiest cities that's perfect for a nice getaway. It's a great excuse to visit old friends and some of my favorite malls, bars and restaurants. San Diego is the perfect getaway because it is only an hour and a half drive from L.A. and there are so many different ways to do San Diego, whatever you are in the mood for. You have options to relax at La Jolla Shores, have fun in downtown San Diego at the Gaslamp district or enjoy the “beachy" nightlife of Pacific Beach. It's a guarantee that you'll never be bored. A absolute MUST for me is a quick stop in downtown La Jolla where there is a small shack called Juice Kaboose where you can find the best pitaya and açaí bowls ever!
When I head off to San Diego, I always make sure to bring my Herbivore Rose Travel Spray (I use this product every day before I apply my make-up and would never travel without it!). Next, is hands down the The Ouai Dry Shampoo Travel Spray (I hate to wash my hair on short trips, especially if there is minimal activity involved), this dry shampoo is a life saver to give my hair that fresh look. Plus, it smells amazing! Last but not least, I always have my Barefoot Dreams Cozy Socks on me. I always get super cold, especially when sleeping in hotel rooms, so these barefoot dream socks are always packed with me if I go on a small getaway that are so comfy and warm.
