Today marks 2 years from the day we stayed up all night in our Venice apartment, watching the sunrise, checking our spelling, and launching our baby that is BOXFOX. From prepacked gifting, to that first Christmas, to launching Build a BOXFOX, to that second Christmas, it's been the best crash course in business building something we love so much.
While this post might sound like more of a love letter to ourselves (just trying to stop for one second to write it all down), BOXFOX was inspired by the challenge of maintaining adult friendships and we've been so floored with the feedback on our services and the emotional weight our customers trust us with. When we graduated college, everyone we loved was all around the world chasing their dreams (and they all still are!). We wanted to find an effortless, elevated and authentic way to enjoy life's many milestones together, regardless of geography. It's always been important to us to be able to be there for one another, even when we can't physically be.
There have been milestones big and small along our journey. Here's a brief snapshot of some of our favorites:
Our Valentine's Day Pop Up Shop at the Grove this past February. We'll never forget naively driving up a crew of friends from high school and college to spend the night setting up, driving back to our warehouse at 5am and working the entire next day in this beautiful little space we set up with our bare hands.
Moving into our first warehouse, outgrowing that space...and then moving into our second.
Speaking at Twitter LA on International Women's Day (and getting to pose next to this pretty sweet wall).
Above all else, building up our team to a family of friends that extends beyond the original trio. Beyond that, cheers to our family AND friends who have offered up endless support, tons of creative energy and so much warehouse labor. (We are eternally grateful).
Here's to all we have up our sleeves and to many more birthdays!
