Meet Eleanor: The rambunctious little pup who won the hearts of our Co-Founders, all of us here at BOXFOX HQ, and now she’s even gaining momentum in the media.
More than just a cute face, sweet Eleanor has a connection that runs so deep with BOXFOX, finding her was almost fate.
It all started when our three Co-Founders, Chelsea, Jenni, and Sabena were working a BOXFOX pop up for Mother’s Day outside of a Yoga studio. Our founders had some down time while the students headed into their classes, so the studio manager suggested walking down the street to a dog shelter to pass time in between.
Chelsea, being allergic to dogs, stayed back while Jenni and Sabena walked over. Upon arriving at the shelter, there were dogs anxious and waiting to play, but there was one in particular that caught Jenni’s eye.
This sweet, sweet bubba noonie (as many of us at HQ now call Eleanor) sat quietly in a corner, very shy, not like the other dogs. Jenni asked about her, and was told that she was a rescue from the streets of Boyle heights at just eight weeks old. Jenni headed back over to the Yoga studio with Sabena and told Chelsea she just had to meet this pup, as the two roommates had been wanting to adopt for some time.
Chelsea not only instantly connected with Eleanor, she found after sitting with her for some time, she had no allergies. Needless to say, Jenni and Chelsea adopted her that day, Sabena along for the ride (quite literally, they all drove to the pop up together).
After the adoption, it was found that Eleanor had contracted a small virus, and her quiet behavior was actually because she was unwell.
Luckily for her, Chelsea and Jenni being the two best mom's in the world nursed her back to health and the world got to see the real Eleanor: The feisty, fired up, office diva that we now know and love at HQ. Glad we found you, Ellie!
