As the weather starts to get warmer in Los Angeles there is an extra reason to look forward to the long weekend ahead. Whether you are heading to the beach or catching up with some friends, there are endless adventures that lie ahead. What could be better than planning a roadtrip, catching up with some friends and soaking in the sunny weather. No memorial day weekend plans yet? Fear not, we put together a BOXFOX guide for some weekend plans.

LOS ANGELES  //

Head to the Beach

There is nothing like hitting the beach on a hot sunny day in LA. Whether you hit Manhattan Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Venice Beach or Laguna Beach, there is a location closer to you than you think. Many of these beaches have many locations to eat and shop, so grab a friend and put on that sunblock for a relaxing day.

Head to a Museum

If you are in the LA area, there are multiple museums you can head during memorial day weekend. Whether you head to the The Board, LACMA, AA museum, Getty Center, or Griffith Observatory there are a wide range of museums in Los Angeles. Check out each website to see which museum you prefer to go to. Some museums are actually free, so take advantage of that! *A little tip: some museums have the option to make a reservation to get into the museum earlier in the day - helps to avoid lines and secures your space*

PLAN A TRIP //

It is never too late to book a trip with a friend for memorial day weekend. Whether its a road trip or booking a last minute flight, there are so many places where you can go. Here are some potential last minute trips that you can book with a friend!

Fishing Trip

One of our CEO’s Chelsea, has booked a trip to Texas to go fishing with her friends. Although this might not be the ideal plan for you, road tripping to a closer destination may be the best plan! Grab some friends, some fishing hooks, and fish on. (If you are near the LA area, I’m sure that Santa Monica has areas where you can definitely fish.) Get out of your comfort zone and explore the world of fishing!

Mexico Trip

If your looking to head somewhere last minute but are on a budget, Mexico might be the right place for you. Whether your heading for the food, beach, or tequila, Mexico is the best destination for a relaxing weekend. Planning a trip to Mexico may not take as long as you think. With cheap flights, and hotels there are endless options for you to choose from. Most importantly, don’t forget to take your passport!
