Breakfast in bed is a staple of Mother’s Day. We remember, as kids, waking up early and quietly sneaking into the kitchen with our dad and siblings to make eggs, toast, bacon, and pancakes. We would arrange the beautiful breakfast on a tray with fresh flowers and Mother’s Day Cards and wake our moms up with the smell of coffee and bacon in bed. Now that we are adults (ah) and living on our own, treating our moms to breakfast in bed is a little more difficult.
