We're starting a new thing here at BOXFOX. Every time we bring on a new brand, (or when the mood strikes us, because we're full of love and emotions always), we're penning love letters to everything they're all about. We are proponents of the human side of business, the people behind these companies, their journeys, and when and why we discovered them. Today, all our lovin' is directed straight at Ban.do, the newest brand to join the ranks on Build a BOXFOX.
Our love affair with Ban.do began long ago. Well, 3 years ago to be exact. I don't remember where, but I was working at my advertising job (that I strongly disliked) and I came across this podcast that Jen Gotch did.
Needless to say, it spoke to me. We were 22, working late together after work every night, and so desperately searching for a blueprint for this unconventional path we were choosing. As all our friends embarked on their socially accepted paths of grad school this and sales job that, we need a little reassurance and encouragement that our risk taking wouldn't blow up in our faces.
That's where our admiration of Jen Gotch and Ban.do came in. We're big brand geeks (obviously) and to hear about the passion and path (from living room to Lifeguard Press) was so inspiring. They're a brand that believes in fun, friendship, and great design. All things we can get behind. Now, when you build your next BOXFOX for a birthday, a bride, a breakup, or just because, we hope your customization and personalization is that much better with the addition of their playful and positive next-level essentials.
