How to Spend 72 Hours in Los Angeles

Posted by BOXFOX TEAM on

Who said getaways always had to be far away? Sometimes the best adventures are the ones where you’re a tourist in your own city. Consider yourself gifted because we’ve compiled a 72 hour guide to Los Angeles, just in time for the 3-day weekend! Whether you’re looking for a bite to eat, a sweet snack, or a shopping spree, we’ve got you covered with all the places to go during the long weekend ahead!

DINING //

Nighthawk // Did someone say, breakfast...for dinner? Count us in. This adorable breakfast bar in Venice is nothing short of a breakfast party! Good food, great drinks, and even better vibes.

Jon & Vinny’s // Italian food with a modern atmosphere to satisfy all your pizza and pasta cravings! Make sure you try their popular spicy fusilli pasta accompanied by a glass of your favorite wine and finish your meal off with their incredible homemade soft serve.

The Gables // This Santa Monica hot spot is a new favorite of our foxes, the blue, beachy California energy coupled with incredible food is hard to beat.

Taste on Melrose // An elegant twist on American comfort food. One of our favorites for brunch or dinner, all around, great food.

Petite Taqueria // This trendy taqueria is one of our favorites here at HQ, with killer drinks, and crispy tacos, there’s not one dish on the menu that’s going to disappoint.

Dessert //

Milk Bar // Soft serve ice cream, layered cakes, and crack pie. See what all the hype is about at this newly opened Los Angeles location. Plus, if the inner baker in you is waiting to shine, they offer classes where you can learn how to make some of their deliciously baked treats (how fun)!

Salt & Straw // If you’re looking to indulge in unique ice cream flavors like roasted strawberry & white chocolate or salted, malted, chocolate chip cookie dough, this is definitely your go to.

Churros Calientes // If you’re looking for some of our favorite churros in LA, look no further. This cozy and cute churro shop has tasty (and crunchy) homemade churros topped with cinnamon sugar and served with a side of hot chocolate dipping sauce. Who can say no to this?

Shopping //

Abbot Kinney // Along with a variety of food and drink options along this block, Abbot Kinney has a bunch of stores with unique finds!

Century City Mall // From luxury stores to boutique shops, the new (and improved) Century City mall is the place to go. With delicious restaurants ranging from dimsum (Din Tai Fung) to mexican (Javier’s), you can’t go wrong with an outing at this gorgeous mall!

Rodeo Drive // Luxury stores galore! Even if you aren’t buying anything, window shopping is always a great time.

If you’re planning on using the three-day weekend to take it easy and get some serious R&R over the long weekend, consider our (new, new) PAUSE BOXFOX or build your own today!
