Generally when I tell people that my mom, Deena, and I talk everyday, multiple times a day, they can’t believe it! But the truth is my mom is my very best friend and we can seriously talk for hours on end. My car radio is on the fritz recently and when I am stuck in LA traffic I call her via bluetooth because I know she will just gab with me about nothing and everything till I reach my destination. Our running joke is that she is my favorite radio station! And when I am flying for work she tracks my flight no matter what time it is and when I land she already knows because she watched it land online. In that way she is kind of my guardian angel- even though I sometimes think she is being silly, I know she is watching over me wherever I am in the world which is so comforting. My mother would do absolutely anything for me; her and my dad will forfeit personal vacations to come spend time with me and my family in California; she will fly here just to hang out, help out around the house or even babysitting the dog! Having a mom is a special kind of bond but having one that is your best friend just makes it more fun! She knows all my friends and sometimes they will even hang out together when I’m not around! I am so lucky to have her and I am wishing her the Happiest Mother’s Day today and everyday, because there is no time off when you are a great mom!
