We are so proud of our growth and we couldn’t have done it without you! From our initiative to plant trees to offset our shipping emissions to our progress in making our packaging more sustainable we promise to continue making the conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint!

Time flys!
Last April we launched our partnership with Ecodrive to plant a tree for every single BOXFOX you send (yes every single BOXFOX: b2c & b2b)! In the last year (only 365 days)– with the help of our lovely customers – we have planted 131,421 trees, removing over 89 million pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere & creating 1,314 work days for people in need.
Why? We started this initiative to make every order climate positive!
How Tree Planting Works
Ecodrive plants mangrove trees on protected land in Madagascar. Mangroves can capture and store more carbon than almost any other tree on the planet. Each tree can sequester about 680 pounds of carbon in its lifetime!
How Planting Trees Benefits the Environment
Mangroves create habitat for hundreds of animal species, including those that are endangered or only exist in Madagascar. They also protect shorelines from erosion & storm surges - keeping ecosystems and the people who live there safe. As mangroves take in water they filter out any pollutants before releasing water vapor back into the air. AKA mangrove trees are awesome!
How Planting Trees Benefits People
In addition to the ecological benefits, it also alleviates poverty in the nearby community by employing local villagers to plant and manage the newly planted trees. For every 100 trees planted, one full work day is created for a villager in need. We love that with the help of our customers we can create employment for people who need it, while healing the earth at the same time!
Our Sustainable Packaging Journey
In addition to our tree planting efforts, we have also been on a journey to increase the sustainability of our packaging! Our Recyclability & Reusability Guide outlines whether each component of your BOXFOX packaging can be recycled, reused, composted, and if it is made from recycled materials (which can be found HERE & on each shipping box). This guide makes it easy for customers to choose the best next step for their BOXFOX packaging – reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills!
As we continue on our sustainability journey, we hope to find new and creative ways to make BOXFOX more eco-friendly while nurturing our existing initiatives. We’ll continue to find ways to minimize the impact our packaging has on our planet; and we look forward to seeing the positive impact we’ll continue to make by planting trees with the help of our wonderful customers and our friends at Ecodrive!
