Explore the great outdoors during this mild LA Winter with a new fun hike! (Seriously, we’re totally inspired to get outside and enjoy this weather when we see InstaStories from our friend’s snowy Winters on the East Coast.) Our in house photographer and fulfillment associate Michael journeyed to the Wisdom Tree in LA this week to breathe in the fresh air, enjoy the beautiful views, and chip away at his workout resolution. With a total distance of only 3 miles, the Wisdom Tree hike might seem like a walk in the park (hah outdoors joke), but in reality the elevation gain is 872 feet and this hike takes about 2 hours! You’ll get a great workout in and won’t feel like passing out in the sweltering heat like you would if you went in the Summer - thanks LA Winters!
Check out the amazing array of brewery classes at Ballast Point in Long Beach. This beautiful brewery has an amazing view of the marina, a ton of indoor and outdoor seating, and an awesome menu of snacks and their signature brewskis. Their beginner brew class, on 1/21 and 2/11 is only $25, and lasts for 3 hours. If you’re more advanced, check out their 4 hour advanced class on 1/28 and 2/25 for $35! If you’re not as location #blessed as we are in LA, don’t fret - you can still have an adventure in your kitchen! Cook hearty things that you can get away with in the Winter - you’re not going to be in a bathing suit anytime soon! So simmer that stew, cook that chili, and bake those biscuits! BOXFOX had a legendary “Soup Swap” during the fall, where each co-worker signed up for a Monday to bring in soup for the team. Test out your recipes and start your own Soup Swap with friends or co-workers!
